Job Title： Assembly Operation Paint Shop Sr. Manufacturing Engineer/Specialist
Location: China
Company: SG Automotive Group, a leading domestic OEM in commercial vehicle, passenger vehicle and driveline system in China
- Coordinate with paint facility contractor to establish new Paint Shop Department:
· Project implementation & management process
· New Facility Planning & Buyoffs
· Equipment & Tooling Installation
· Launch Process Planning & Training
· Performance Metrics
- Plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing engineering activities in the Paint Department
- Responsible for all aspects of tooling and process development as well as the implementation of the tools and equipment into the new production facility
- Analyze workflow, space requirement and facility layouts and be able to recommend and implement cost-effective solutions that can improve throughput
- Plan, direct work group to engage in construction, maintenance, and installation of equipment and machinery
- Ensure proper installation and commissioning of paint system and quality validation
- Evaluate controls requirements for maintaining and improving production yields, output and uptime
- Drive cycle time optimization and constraint analysis
- Oversee new paint shop planning & launch process and ensure start-up readiness for production
- Execute Project objectives and scope of work to achieve timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Minimum Requirements:
- Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering degree is preferred
- 10+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in managing, installing, operating automotive paint shops
- Require hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, working knowledge of PLC programming, calibration procedures, process controls, etc.
- Possess excellent communication, inter-personal,
organizational skills; and culturally sensitive
