The seminar provides great networking opportunity for DCEA members and automotive professionals, the topic includes (1) The design and performance tuning of shock absorbers, (2) Q&A on the design of chassis components for vehicle performances, and (3) automotive chassis related international business opportunities and challenges.
In order to provide more interaction and networking opportunities for DCEA members and other seminar participants, the seminar will be conducted in Q&A (questions and answers) format. Questions to be discussed will come from both the prepared topic list and the audience. Answers can come from the designated specialists as well from the floor. For example, on the shock absorber design, the location and geometry of shock orifices and the design tuning for vehicle performance specs are hot topics. On the chassis design for vehicle performance, one interesting topic is the engineering explanation on why the soft spring produces better ride, and another topic is on why the active variable stiffness stab bar is becoming popular. In addition, a brief report on the examples of chassis related business collaborations among American and Chinese companies will be presented.
