Dr. Sam Guo

Dear DCEA members:

It is my great honor to serve you as the president in 2008.

DCEA is the largest professional organization in Michigan.  It has 28-year history and close to 400 engineers. DCEA promotes technical innovations, connects all engineers in different areas, engages in charity activities and provides members with career information and business opportunities.

In 2007, DCEA had a fruitful year under the leadership of 2007 president, Dr. Sheng-Dong Liu, as shown in the newsletters, on the website and in the local news papers.

With strong support from all members, 2008's Board members and advisors, DCEA will become stronger, larger, and more productive in 2008.

In 2008, we will strive to serve our members better:

  1. DCEA will provide our members with career and business opportunities through technical and business seminars.
  2. DCEA will further strengthen its connections with SAE International and SAE China
  3. DCEA will organize and engage in various charity activities such as Soup Kitchen to fulfill its duty as a 501 (c) (3) organization.
  4. DCEA will strengthen and create more lateral relationship with other organizations.
  5. DCEA will continue its tradition to support and recognize outstanding students who will be a future engineer.
  6. DCEA will build up more connections with local companies from all over the world.
  7. DCEA will continue to support Robofest held by Lawrence Technological University.  Young generation of DCEA members will be greatly beneficial to their future by participating in Robofest.
