The 2009 DCEA Automotive Technology Conference and Annual Meeting was
successfully held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM, at
Embassy Suites Livonia/Novi Hotel, Michigan.
The theme of the 2009 conference is Driving Green and Energy Efficiency
which reflects the unprecedented challenges and opportunities that we
face in the industry. Nearly 200 people participated in this grand event;
among them are researchers and technical experts from the automotive
industry and universities, as well as local Chinese community organizations
representatives. The greeting letter from Michigan governor Jennifer
Granholm was presented. As the distinguished guests, Wayne County Executive
Robert Ficano and consul Liu expressed their warmest congratulations
in their speech. Mr. Hang Zhao, president of China Automotive Research
and Technology Center from China made a key note speech
This year, in addition to technical conference, a special networking
session and evening banquet were arranged for all the participants.
DCEA Advisory Board member Dr. Jamie Shu's Career Planning in Times
of Crisis presentation was well received during the network session.
