DCEA successfully hold
a Patent Workshop on Saturday September 6, 2008, at the University of
Michigan-Dearborn Fairlane Center. About 40 members attended the workshop.
Senior patent agent Kurt VanVoorhies and patent lawyer Mike Raggio from
Raggio & Dinnin, P.C. Law Office made patents presentation, they introduced
the U.S. patent system, patent laws, patent application and process, and
contents of a patent. The workshop ended with excellent questions attendees
asked and satisfied answers from these two senior patent lawyer and agent.
To the interest of workshop audience and other DCEA members, presenters
provided the pdf file for downloading.
2008 Automotive Technology Conference was successfully held on Sunday April 13, 2008, at Altair Engineering in Troy Michigan. Before the conference started, 2008 DCEA president Dr. Sam Guo presented the greeting letter from Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm. As the distingushed guests, Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano and consel Liu expressed their warmest congratulations in their speech. This year's technical presentations focused on vehicle fuel technologies including hygrogen powered vehicle, alternative fuels, hybrid systems and fuel cell development. DCEA Awards Committee Chair Dr. Sheng-Dong Liu presented the DCEA Future Engineer Award to two recipients- Albert Cheng and Margaret Hwang. Click here for details.
