Trans Pacific Trade, Inc. (TPT) is looking for a Quality Engineer. We are
focusing our effort in the pool of Chinese American engineers who recently
took buyout packages from either Big 3 or tier one suppliers.

Qualifications:

- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- Years experience in automotive manufacturing and/or quality
- familiar with commodities of wheels, exterior trims or interior trims
- experience as SQE a plus
- willing to travel


Key Responsibilities:

- part-time or full-time (depending on the preference of the individuals)

- solving problems related to cosmetic appearance issues and warranty
returns

- Liasion with quality personnel btw OEM assembly plants and Chinese
suppliers

- Assist with PPAP

A delegation from Shanghai University (SU) in Shanghai, China led by Professor Song Wu, the Vice President of SU, will be in Detroit from May 22nd to May 24th of this year. In order to provide Michigan professionals with collaboration and education exchange opportunities with Chinese Universities, The College of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Michigan-Dearborn, CAGD, DCEA, and ASUANA will jointly organize a forum. This event will take place on May 23rd, from 2PM to 4:30PM in the Institute of Advanced Vehicle Systems Auditorium at The University of Michigan - Dearborn. At the forum, Professor Wu will provide an overview of Shanghai University, discuss the opportunities at their university, and introduce some research funding and grant programs supported by the China central government, Shanghai municipal government, Chinese enterprises and SU itself. At the forum, you will have great opportunities to talk directly with Shanghai University’s high-ranked officials to propose collaboration methods that you are excited about.

Dr. Yubao Chen and Dr. Yu Xie will make presentations at the forum to share their rich experiences regarding cooperation with Chinese universities. Dr.Yu Xie is highly respected and award-winning professors at the University of Michigan. Dr. Yu Xie is also affiliated with multiple departments of the University of Michigan. Dr. Chen is the Director of China Programs in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Michigan - Dearborn.
