Position Summary

Overall engineering leadership responsibility for the design, construction and start-up of a large textile manufacturing plant.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of construction, infrastructure, operation and maintenance of start-up textile plant.
Oversee the construction and maintenance of all facilities including water pretreatment, wastewater management, steam generation, HVAC and air filtration systems.

Qualifications

Highly experienced engineering manager in all aspects of construction. Significant experience in China required. Position is located 2 hours from Shanghai.
Candidate must have the highest integrity and be able to gain the trust of senior executives quickly.
Highly mobile and motivated individual who can make decisions on his own to keep a large project moving forward at an aggressive pace.
Self starter; able to establish direction through aggressive personal and team goals and hold his/her-self and his/her team accountable to achieve those goals.
Degree in civil or mechanical engineering required.
Fluent Chinese required.

Job Description
1. Single point of contact between TTE and Automotive OEM Engineering Team to facilitate information flow and to improve efficiency.

2. Engage in continuous communication with OEM assembly plants and promptly address their questions and concerns.

3. Participate in OEM Engineering meetings, design reviews & PAT meetings, and write minutes to capture & cascade accurately engineering requirements.

4. Support OEM plant trials and product launches, and assist TTE with OEM-required documents (8D, PPAP, SREA, DV/PVP&R, etc.).

5. Manage & track DV/PV progress and compliance to OEM's program milestones.

6. Coordinate engineering designs/changes on WERS.

Full product design, development, and releasing responsibility from initial concept feasibility thru launch and production support for sheet metal. The engineer must have Catia V4 or V5 experience. BIW design release for body shell and door components. Some hardware design experience a plus. Required to interface with suppliers and DCX stamping/assembly plants to resolve build issues, or implement cost saving ideas. Familiarity with CAD design required (CATIA experience a plus). Candidate must be a quick learner, have good communication skills and ability for teamwork.

The positions will be working on either the new Neon project or the joint projects with Mitsubishi. The location will be at the Tech Center in Auburn Hills.
