Litton Lee, Executive Vice President of Bquad Engineering Corporation and resident of West Bloomfield, died at the age of 60 on June 20, 2004.  Litton was born in Chung Qing, China, and grew up in Hong Kong and Taiwan.  He graduated from the National Taiwan University in Mechanical Engineering, and received a full scholarship to attend the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.

Litton devoted his professional life to the automotive industry and the community.  He worked at General Motors as a Research Engineer, held numerous patents, and was a consultant for several automotive manufacturers.  In 1990, he was invited by the Taiwan Ministry of Transportation to set up the Automotive Research and Testing Center.  As the president, he built a world-class testing facility from the ground up that contributed significantly to the on-going success of Taiwan's automotive industry.

Litton held a number of executive positions in the American Society of Automotive Engineers, and was a director on the Board of International SAE. Litton not only had a passion for his profession, but also for inspiring young engineers and imparting to them his wealth of knowledge.

Litton was also active in the community.  He was the founder of the Detroit Chinese Engineering Association, a past president of the Michigan Chinese Academic and Professional Association, a principal of the Chinese School of Greater Detroit, and a board member of the Association of Chinese Americans. He was an active contributor and participant of many charities, such as the Cancer Foundation Fund Drive, Soup Kitchen, Junior Diabetes, and March of Dimes.

In recent years, Litton faced the challenge of combating lymphoma, all the while continuing to celebrate life with friends and family, and pursuing his interests in golf, travel, and community activities.  Above all else, Litton was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend.  His life has touched many, and he will be remembered for his generosity, friendship, and kindness.

Litton is survived by his wife, Janilla, his daughters, Cynthia and Katrina, his brother Lyon, and his sister Lillian.
