The DCEA Ford Future Engineer Award
(Deadline: March 25, 2004)
CRITERIA: This award is to recognize an outstanding undergraduate engineering student(s) who will soon enter the engineering profession or pursue graduate studies in the field of engineering or applied sciences.
1. Students should be an undergraduate engineering senior in good standing.
2. Students should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 out of a possible 4.0.
3. Students should be an active student member of DCEA or have parent(s) who have been active members of DCEA for at least one year at the time of application.
4. Students should demonstrate ability in becoming an engineer such as completion of design projects, research, and extra curricular activities, leadership, co-op/intern experience, community services, etc.
5. A copy of the student's resume, a recommendation letter from a professor or an engineering professional, and a statement (not exceeding two pages) on significant accomplishments, career goals, special experience, etc. should be included in the nomination. 6. The award will be a plaque and an appropriate gift to be presented at the awards luncheon at the DCEA Annual Conference on April 3, 2004 at Lawrence Technological University.
7. The award shall be recommended by the DCEA's Awards Committee and approved by the DCEA's Board of Directors.
